About Us
One of a Kind - Thoughtfully Curated Goods.
I always found it so overwhelming picking out fabric at a big box store. I dreaded going because there were really too many options! This sparked an idea! With my love of thrifting - I made it a goal to only sew with vintage and upcycled materials found secondhand. This tactic has made my projects so much more fun because you never know what you are going to find in the wild for material! It takes the pressure off of trying to find the "perfect match". I love that all my pieces have a past and a history and get to live on in its new form.
Sewing has Always Been Part of My Life
A fond memory of my childhood is with my Memere making mini quilts and clothes for my American Girl Doll. I didnt sew much as I got older - just a few projects here and there. It wasn't till Winter 2024 when sewing made its way back into my life - I wanted to make sweaters for our Bulldog Magnolia. My Memere taught me the basic tools needed to sew and most of my sewing supplies are inherited from her, which makes it even sewing more special. I did have to teach myself how to sew a zipper - as my Memere "never messed with them". Later on I found out my Great Memere was a seamstress and that I take after her the most. It makes me feel so special knowing I'm keeping our legacy going in a way that mixes the past with present.
